Black Smoke with a Sprinkling of Yellow-Gold Glitter
—-
Do this using the same process as with the Helena Rubinstein Glitter Eye.
Apply black matte shadow to the upper and lower lids first, ending in a rounder wing for this look (the top edge of your eye shadow goes straight out from the center of the eye instead of following the curve of your socket)
Dab a brush in mixing medium or clear mascara, etc and then into glitter (for this look, micro-glitters would not work as well as they are too fine to be this visible. Fine glitter from your regular art store would probably work better.) If you apply the glitter medium onto your lids directly instead of the brush, you will get a much more opaque layer of glitter, which is not what this look is about.
Dab gently over your lids in sections as you will probably need to re-dip your brush into medium and glitter.
To finish the smoky look, add the essential black pencil to your tide line and water line, and apply (nice - not clumpy) black mascara please! You probably don’t want to obscure the glitter with false lashes unless you have large lid space and people can still see your eye makeup after you apply falsies.
Extra tip for choosing a shade: Because it is not intensely packed on as with other looks, a paler glitter will look more visible and a darker one more subtle. It’s your choice!
